Lake Effect Club is Milwaukee’s most creative stay—a 150-year-old building reimagined, in one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

The Nohl is our most intimate unit, and can sleep four.

ARTIST’S RETREAT VIBES

The Nohl features color-blocked rooms throughout: a petal pink living/dining/kitchen, a striking blue bathroom that feels like a jewel box, and a lavender bedroom that makes sleeping feel cooler. There’s a small dining table, a porch big enough to lounge, and a walk-in closet that doubles as a mini office. The bathroom features a cast iron tub for soaking, and the rooms are layered with vintage treasures, designer pieces, and new essentials (beds, mattresses, couches). It’s compact, but clever—and perfect for solo travelers, couples, or a small family who like their stays colorful, thoughtful, and a little bit unexpected. It’s named after Mary Nohl, an artist and iconic Milwaukean who’s creative and unique home is now a museum further north along the Lakefront. Sleeps four.

This special spot is tucked away, with a full kitchen, dining area, living room, a deep blue bathroom with an incredible cast iron tub, and a restful bedroom.

Tucked away, this sweet one bedroom has a clean loft feel, great flow, clawfoot tub and small porch (with drink rail) and sitting area. Sleeps four.

A spot for creatives and those that think differently. Must love color.

Mary’s Studio is inspired by local artist Mary Nohl and her incredible work and home.
